Student Projects
The research group Applied Mathematics and Machine Learning offers student research positions for projects in applied mathematics and data science, see the
Funding. Generically, we offer funding in form of a 20 hours/week employment for 6 months (7 salaries with €1350 per salary) but, depending on the project scope, alternative options are also possible.
Study background. The projects can be independent of your study program, or can be connected, for example, to:
- Master's Programme Mathematics: Master Thesis
- Master's Programme Data Science: Master Thesis or lecture Project in Data Science
- Bachelor's Programme Mathematics: Bachelor Thesis
Prerequisites. Generally, prerequisites are a solid knowledge in applied mathematics or computer science; see the project descriptions for project-specific prerequisites.

Deadlines. Applications are possible throughout the semester, but there are regular deadlines once per semester after which positions are filled subject to availability. The next deadline is
