Here you can download mpeg-movies which show the numerical results of my work on suboptimal control of transient viscoelastic flows. A detailed description of the problem can be found in the preprint of my paper suboptimal control of transient non.isothermal viscoelastic flows (PDF-format). The movies have the following form:

If you start the movies, you will see in the top left quarter the evolving streamlines of the flow, in the top right quarter, the temperature profile, in the bottom right the applied controls (temperature profile on the boundary of the domain) and in the bottom left quarter the graph of the cost functional and the control cost which should decrease over the time interval (notice the logarithmic scale in this graph).
