If you arrive on Sunday, please be advised that the reception will only be staffed until 22.00. If you arrive later than 22.00 your keys will be deposited in a safe. More information will be provided before the beginning of the workshop.

Transport

The workshop is held at the Bildungshaus Mariatrost, which is located in a suburb of Graz, about 6 km from the city centre, close to the Basilica Mariatrost.

You can go from Graz to the Bildungshaus by taking the tram line 1 towards Mariatrost. You may enter line 1 either at Hauptbahnhof (central station), Hauptplatz (city centre) or Jakominiplatz.

Due to construction work the tram line 1 will not be operated end-to-end; its new final stop is Hilmteich/Botanischer Garten , where you will have to change from tram line 1 to bus E1. Be aware that Hilmteich/Botanischer Garten is also a regular bus stop, so make sure to enter the correct bus, i.e., the bus E1. Exit bus E1 at the final stop Mariatrost and continue on foot. The walk from the stop Mariatrost to the Bildungshaus Mariatrost is 450m long and has a steep slope, requiring you to ascend. After roughly 7 minutes you have the Bildungshaus Mariatrost to your right.

From the airport, you can either take a bus (Regionalbus 630 or Regionalbus 631) to Jakominiplatz or the regional train (line S5) to Hauptbahnhof (central station) and continue as above.

You can freely download qando Graz, the app for public transportation in Graz and surroundings. It is available for iOS and Android.

A cab will cost about 40 Euro from the airport and 30 Euro from the train station.

Meals

For participants staying at the Bildungshaus there will be a full meal service from Monday morning until Friday noon. All meals will be served in the dining hall in the basement.

A warm lunch buffet will be available between 12.30 and 14.00, which is open to all participants. If you are not staying at the Bildungshaus and would like to join, please let us know in advance.

Dinner will be buffet-style as well (warm or cold), served from 19.00.

Drinks are not included; we ask you to pay for them "Oberwolfach style".

For participants arriving on Sunday, a supper of bread, cold cuts and cheese will be provided starting at 15.00 in the Cafeteria on the 1rst floor (by European count).

Conference Equipment

The conference room is equipped with a beamer and a chalkboard. A PDF and POWER-POINT capable notebook will be provided. Please bring your presentation on a USB flash drive and transfer it before your session.

If your presentation contains animations or videos, or requires a specific version of the viewer software, you are strongly encouraged to use your own notebook and to test the system well in advance.
